Wow. Just saw my first post here. Here it is 7 years later. And, I am 7 years SMOKE FREE!! Hooray for me! I have kept my quit. (Thanks in part to Quit Net!) Life is so much better without smokes! Now I have a new challange, I had my teeth pulled and now am trying to get used to dentures. Hopefully, one day, I can make a post saying I did this, too!

Tomarrow, my hubby and I are going to stop smoking. So I thought I would start my blog here tonight. It's not going to be easy. But by the Grace of God we both will succeed! I have smoked for 20+ years. . .almost half of my life. What are my hands supposed to do without a cigarette in them? Will my marriage survive two bodies craving a substance that would destroy them? God help us all!
I will throw away the ash trays tomarrow. And tomarrow night we go to buy the patches. I want to be around to have grandkids. Hubby and I have only been married for 11 years. There are so many things to quit smoking for but tonight, I'm just scared! Scared because, I don't know if I can quit! But I do know that smoking is the Enemy. The Enemy that stole my 2 uncles away from my life! The Enemy that makes me cough and wheeze! The Enemy that has etched lines in my face! So this is my declaration of independence! Tomarrow night. . .freedom!!
